A Conversation with Piet Mondrian and Frank Lloyd Wright

My daughter, Danielle, asked me to design a quilt for her inspired by her favorite artists, Frank Lloyd Wright and Piet Mondrian. This quilt is an answer to her request. The blocks are a combination of hand appliquéd and machine sewn. They were made over a span of 4 years and it took another year to assemble and complete. It was long arm quilted by Wilma Cogliantry of Christian Lane Quilters.

A Tribute to Spring and it's Chartreuse Burst!

While driving upstate throughout the Spring Season, I love to watch the procession of the changing colors of Spring. I think of it as the Chartreuse Burst. This quilt I designed is a tribute to Spring. It has taken me 4 years from start to finish. it was long arm quilted by Lynn Kelly of East Coast Quilters.
